Sean Derry – Artistic/Technical/Mobilization Director
You may have seen Sean most recently in BNC’s productions of Pounding Nails in the Floor With My Forehead, The Dead Guy, Fat Pig, Frozen, Beggars in the House of Plenty, Blackbird, Closer, and The Late Henry Moss, at Coach House in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Willoughby Fine Arts in A Streetcar Named Desire, or at Weathervane Playhouse in Angels in America (Parts 1 & 2), A Lesson Before Dying, The Laramie Project, The Complete Works of Wm. Shakespeare (abridged), and The Chosen. Sean has directed Bug, Some Girl(s), Griller, The Art of the Fugue and the critically acclaimed production of David Mamet’s Romance. He received his training at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, Bobby Chance Studio and The Loft Studio in Los Angeles. Sean is the father of three wonderful children: Séa Evelyn Marie, Ireland Aideen Cosette, and Afton Isle Seanan.

Sean McConaha – Artistic/Education/Managing Director
Sean is an educator, free-lance actor and director throughout Northeast Ohio. Sean served as the Director of Education at Weathervane Playhouse for over 7 years. He has directed the Ohio Community Theatre Association awardwinning productions of Romeo and Juliet and A Lesson Before Dying. His other Weathervane Playhouse work includes The Glass Menagerie, Three Days of Rain and Angels in America: Millennium Approaches and Perestroika. He has also directed Junk Bonds (a world premier) and Sam Shepard’s Cowboy Mouth at Cleveland Public Theatre and ten previous BNC shows: The Late Henry Moss, Closer, Blackbird, Beggars in the House of Plenty, Frozen, The Long Christmas Ride Home, Fat Pig, Red Light Winter, Roulette, A Narrow Bridge. Sean currently serves as an Adjunct Theatre Faculty member at The University of Akron. He has four children: daughters, Leda & Delaney, and twins Griffin & Zoe.

Cliff Herhsman – Sustainability Director
After having attended a production by Akron’s The Bang and The Clatter Theatre Company, Cliff drove back up to Cleveland excited with a vision of putting The Bang and The Clatter Theatre Co. in the East Fourth Entertainment District. Having developed the House of Blues Concert Hall with MRN Ltd., Cliff brought the Seans together with the Maron Family and a deal was reached on a vacated Euclid Avenue storefront. Now that the BNC has made it here, Cliff has taken on the responsibility of keeping the young company operating as they find their way through their first Cleveland year and beyond.

Alanna Romansky – Production Manager

Alanna, who is usually seen onstage, most recently assistant directed Bug, and stage managed Pounding Nails in the Floor With My Forehead for The Bang and The Clatter. Her BNC acting credits include The Dead Guy, Some Girl(s), Fat Pig, and Blackbird, a role which she will be reprising at The Bang and The Clatter- Sometimes In The Silence...Theatre Company in May. She played Kimberly in the feature film, The Bridge to Nowhere, directed by Blair Underwood, as well as a role in the feature film, Adventureland, directed by Greg Mottola. Both projects were opportunities she was excited to share with BNC's co-artistic mobilization director, Sean Derry. She received her BFA from the Professional Actors Training Program at Wright State University, with additional training from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. "Thanks to the Seans for their vision and passion and for being the reason for me staying in Ohio to hone my craft."

Ryan McMullen – House Manager
A Resident of Cuyahoga Falls, Ryan has been involved with the BNC as an actor, props master, and stage manager. You may have seen him in BNC’s productions of Roulette, Romance, and the ‘Just off Broadway’ comedy series. Ryan was an actor with Cleveland SignStage for five years, and did five national tours with the company. Over the years, he has been featured in area productions of Three Days of Rain, Waiting for Godot, Assasins and Angels in America to name a few. He wishes to thank his ‘people’ for all the things they do for him.
